Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao

En 1997 se inauguró el Museo Guggenheim en Bilbao. Tan solo se tardó cuatro años en construirlo. Los materiales son titanio, arenisca y cristal. Este espectacular edificio a orillas del río Nervión se ha convertido en el emblema de la capital vasca. Más de 20 millones de personas lo han visitado, no solo para contemplar el arte dentro del museo sino también el propio museo.

In 1997 the Guggenheim Museum was inaugurated in Bilbao. It only took four years to build it. The materials are titanium, sandstone and glass. This spectacular building on the banks of the Nervión River has become the emblem of the Basque capital.
